Aultmore 8 Year Old 2011 (cask 13731) - Provenance (Douglas Laing)

From the Provenance indie bottling range comes an eight year old Aultmore single malt, distilled back in May 2011 and set aside to mature in a refill hogshead. In November 2019, Douglas Laing came along, cracked the cask open and bottled up the whisky within at 46% ABV. 394 bottles were produced.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose

Honeyed cereals and milky coffee, with a smidge of redcurrant.

Palate

Peppercorn, cinnamon, vanilla pod earthiness, orange boiled sweeties.

Finish

Slightly waxy, with brown sugar and more oaky cinnamon in support.
