Aberlour 7 Year Old 2008 (cask 10976) - Provenance (Douglas Laing)

An independently bottled Aberlour single malt, matured in a single refill barrel from May 2008 to November 2015. It comes presented as part of Douglas Laing's Provenance series, which received a handsome redesign in early 2016. While you may know Aberlour as being heavily Sherried (particularly if you're a fan of their a'Bunadh series), this shows off their more creamy, barley-rich side.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose

Toffee pennies, white grape and warm sponge cake.

Palate

More sponge cake, now with some zesty marmalade filling.

Finish

Prickly spice and mellow fruit.
