VIVIR Tequila Añejo is made with double distilled 100% Blue Weber agave, harvested at around 12 years of age. The Tequila is then blended with local volcanic spring water and aged in bourbon casks for at least 18 months. VIVIR was founded by Navindh Grewal and Paul Hayes in the UK, who worked with the The Casa Maestri Distillery in the heart of Jalisco, Mexico, to create the spirit. A wonderfully rich sipping Tequila, coming from a range that was made to "change the way you think about Tequila".

Roasted agave, home-made salted caramel and BBQ char initially, then dried fruit, fresh herbs and dry oak spice. Wet stone minerality is present underneath among baked earth and a touch of peppery heat.
Vanilla fudge, cacao, orange rind and salted butter, with only hints of agave underneath. It’s still very herbal, mostly thyme, with a drop of peppermint oil in support.
Tropical fruit, more thyme and buttery vanilla.

Absolutely stunning. Nothing much else to be said. A proper game-changing tequila that could shift even the most reluctant persons mind on tequila.
I am blown away by this tequila. Incredibly smooth. Tastes of butter, vanilla, citrus flowers, distant fires in endangered old-growth forests, fading memories brought into sharp relief by recent trauma, coconut milk. 5/5!
Yeah, it is a really good Tequila. It smells of Vanilla and Butterscotch so they got those two right in the tasting notes. It goes down smooth with no burn, you definitely smell that distinctive Agave Tequila note. No idea where they got the rest of the 'tasting notes' from. tl;dr; Vanilla, Butterscotch, Tequila and smooth no burn. Very pleasant.
All I can say is ‘just buy this stuff!’. It really is amazing and worthy of all the 5 star reviews. For the money this is hands down the best añejo tequila I’ve ever had. Full of flavour, complex coffee and butterscotch notes with echoes of oak and the agave coming through beautifully. My tequila mates also all agree, Vivir are onto a winner.
