This 100% agave reposado Tequila from Pancho Datos was rested for ten months in white oak barrels previously used to mature bourbon whiskey. The agave itself is allowed to age for at least six years, before being cooked for two-to-three days in a stone oven. Following that, the agave is fermented, and then it's over to the stills to be double distilled. You can expect plenty of vanilla and caramel notes here, imparted by the cask, as well as earthy agave spiciness running through. The name for this spirit comes from the work of the great historian and poet of the Mexican Revolution, Ricardo Grijalva de León. Pancho Datos Reposado was awarded a Gold Outstanding medal at the 2025 International Wine and Spirit Competition, scoring an incredible 98 points, one of the highest awards in the industry.
Caramel, oak spice and green vegetal notes.

A proper tequila that is strong in flavour and extremely palatable to drink. Highly recommend as a different alternative to whiskey.
I bought a bottle of this partnered to their Pancho Datos Plata Tequila and used the recipe notes provided by the company to make a range of their cocktails for a friends and family gathering recently. I have to say firstly the ease of ordering and speed of delivery was excellent. Then you get to the product itself. Bold and striking bottling and labelling is the first thing that gives the hint of the quality of the product and thought that has gone into the presentation. My drinks are usually left in the cupboard but this sits by my best malts on display to all. Using the company recipes we made several suggested cocktails and also went for some neat shots. A quality product that exceeds expectations and the tasting notes on the website are as close as it gets to the actual experience. I can honestly say this is one of the best tequilas I’ve experienced and would highly recommend it to anyone.
How tequila should taste.
