Bought for overnight guests (Birthday time). They thought the sampler was a terrific idea. They tried the Bowmore and the Darkness (so far). Loved them both. Have given them the Master of Malt website so they will hopefully try out more tasting sets to find what they really like.
I've never really drank whisky before but I wanted to try a range before I splashed out on a big bottle. Saw this set was aged in sherry casks and gave it a go. I was incredibly surprised by how good these tasted and the tasting notes were a good addition to the experience. Will be buying some bottles of these soon
I'm a scotch drinker through and through. As soon as I saw that my son had bought me the sherry monster tasting set I was smiling an almost psychotic grin. GlenDronach, one of my favourites. Now, the beauty of the tasting sets is you never know what potential gem has found its way in. This time for me I tried one of the mat fantastic sherried cask whiskies I have ever had the pleasure of tasting. Wait for it... Old Hobart Overeem sherry cask matured at a whopping 60%! A Tasmanian beauty.
