Vestal Kaszebe is made with potatoes harvested in the Kaszebe region in northern Poland, which is known for having rather sandy soil. The potatoes are picked when they're small and full of flavour. The 2013 vintage features a stunningly rich creaminess and has a glorious depth of flavour, showing that terroir isn't just important for wine.
Raspberries, pear drops and apricots float up first, followed soon after by buttery new potatoes, vanilla pods and subtle floral hints.
Plenty creamy. Old-fashioned buttermilk fudge, a very soft tingling of pepper and a tiny hint of citrus fruits.
A sweet, clean medium length finish.
Incredibly curious and alluring, perfect to slowly sip and discover more and more about.
