Harveys Bristol Cream is a classic aperitif sherry, best serves very cold. Offers nutty, raisin notes.
I’m not a lover of alcohol, although not completely tea total, but all my adult life I’ve enjoyed a bottle of Harvey’s Bristol Cream Sherry. Now I’m in my 70s and bought a bottle to enjoy over Xmas. It was horrible! I have thrown it away as I was so disappointed. It was a runny musty smelling/tasting disaster. To say nothing has changed and to pass this off as the original is a disgrace. So sad to see such a product ruined in this way and I certainly will not buy again.
So sad at the change. This is not the Harvey’s Bristol Cream that I have loved all of my adult life. Harvey’s in name only! Definitely not the rich, creamy, sweet full bodied sherry that it used to be. Wish I knew of a brand comparable to the old HBC. Will not be buying this stuff again.
Horrid! What have they done to our favourite sherry? It tastes like cheap rubbish. Won't be buying it again. Very disappointed. Feel like asking for my money back it is so bad.
I contacted Harvey by email about my perceived change of taste of the Solera Sherry. They have replied that it is only the labelling that has been changed? That contents therein are the same as before. Can it be that we are all wrong? It certainly doesn't have that lovely full bodied taste it used to have. It also looks paler to me.
Just had some Harvey's Bristol Cream over the holidays. Well, you may call it by that name, but it is no longer the same product. I was shocked and appalled! The rich, velvety taste I remember has been replaced by a watery swill with little of the old flavour. Folks, spend your money on a better product. This is trying to call faux fur "mink."
