This Choya sake is made using locally grown japonica rice from the Nara Province. It is GM free and is best served warm.

Tokkuri warmed in water heated until first small bubbles rising, heat turned off and left 3 minutes. Initially sherry-like but raw, some alcohol burn/heat with a dry aftertaste and little or no aroma. Sweetens as it cools. Rice and vanilla notes when lukewarm. Next cup mouth-filling and umami, more floral, sweeter, almost no more fieriness. At colder room temperature, the fire and umami are perfectly blended - a good digestive at this temperature. Good with rice crackers. Do not heat further.
I am not a Sake connoisseur by any means but was pleasantly surprised by this bottle, thr flavour was silky and a tinge of sweet. Unlike the strong harsh tasting stuff you get in restaurants (which is nice when hot, not so much cold) this would cost me twice the price locally. Can't speak for others but Sake is cheaper on here than locally in the UK. Also a better selection, I encourage anyone yo pay out for the Plum Sake.
tastes as good as the one I used to drink but £3 cheaper. buy 12 for free postage.
Father in law loved it, I bought this as a christmas present for him and he said that the loast time he had this sake was when he was in Japan as an active seaman.
Smooth, quite sweet and an excellent price. I have to say I loved this stuff, maybe a little too much as I’m going through at least a couple of bottles at a weekend with ease.
