Another addition to Ron Barceló's already exceptional collection of rums comes Barceló Imperial Onyx from the Dominican Republic. Made up of a blend of rums aged for 10 years in heavily charred bourbon casks, this expression was filtered through onyx stones (hence the name) prior to bottling. Each production stage makes for a rich and complex rum.
Sweet cherry, brown butter, coffee and dried fruits, notably fig, alongside notes of vanilla and gentle oak spice.

Lovely tasting Rum. Smooth and sweet, but not overly so, and a delicious flavour. Worth the money, I would definitely buy it again.
