The Pusser's Rum collection has had a bit of a revamp. While their Blue Label is still made with the exact same blend of rums - a recipe from the Admiralty - it is now bottled at 40% abv rather that 54.5% abv. The reasoning behind this, is it allows Pusser's to be distributed to Naval bases, where the maximum allowed strength is 40%.
If you're looking for the original 54.5% version, then fear not! It has now been rebranded as Pusser's 'Gunpowder Proof' Black Label.
Peanut brittle, chocolate raisins, old oak and good sherry.
Banana, ground clove, ginger root and crunchy brown sugar. A touch of baklava, too.
Caramel and cinnamon warmth.

It was excellent quality and good taste liquid history in a bottle 1805 Royal navy
The original Rum issued daily to the crews of all fleets of the Royal Navy for over 300 years. Still I believe distilled at the same place on Tortola. Correct me if I am wrong. I will be having a tot tonight.
I came across this rum whilst visiting Pussers bar in Tortola and have been hooked ever since. It’s my favourite, takes me right back to the Carribean each time I drink it. Don’t ever stop selling it ?
First full bottle of this having tried a sample in an advent calendar. I’m normally a Jamaican rum drinker but this has opened my eyes to the Guyanese taste. A real Demerara sugar taste with spicy notes to it. For the price you won’t get better. It matches some Plantation rums costing nearly £20 more.
Always pleased with purchase of Pusser,s blue label. Best rum.
