The Pusser's Rum collection has had a bit of a revamp. While their Blue Label is still made with the exact same blend of rums - a recipe from the Admiralty - it is now bottled at 40% abv rather that 54.5% abv. The reasoning behind this, is it allows Pusser's to be distributed to Naval bases, where the maximum allowed strength is 40%.
If you're looking for the original 54.5% version, then fear not! It has now been rebranded as Pusser's 'Gunpowder Proof' Black Label.
Peanut brittle, chocolate raisins, old oak and good sherry.
Banana, ground clove, ginger root and crunchy brown sugar. A touch of baklava, too.
Caramel and cinnamon warmth.

Woods 100 every time for me. Pusser's is a rip off.
I'm an Ex Marine I don't think I have to say anything more.
The new BLUE LABEL is the former Red Label Pussers with 42% and not the High Proof version and it is still one of the best Rums - Holger
You should never have changed the ABV, Woods is now most Matelots favorite. Nelson would have a fit.
Hi there! The overproof version is actually being re-branded to have a black label. The ABV will remain the same, at 54.5%. --The Chaps at Master of Malt
