The Pusser's Rum collection has had a bit of a revamp. While their Blue Label is still made with the exact same blend of rums - a recipe from the Admiralty - it is now bottled at 40% abv rather that 54.5% abv. The reasoning behind this, is it allows Pusser's to be distributed to Naval bases, where the maximum allowed strength is 40%.
If you're looking for the original 54.5% version, then fear not! It has now been rebranded as Pusser's 'Gunpowder Proof' Black Label.
Peanut brittle, chocolate raisins, old oak and good sherry.
Banana, ground clove, ginger root and crunchy brown sugar. A touch of baklava, too.

I do like this, a deep rich caramel flavour with a touch of spice. As in a real spicy flavour coming from the rum itself rather than additives. Superior to many more expensive rums. I think I’ve finally found a replacement for my beloved but sadly departed Appleton Special
A good mixing rum with Coke or Ginger beer, and would work well in cocktails. But not for Sipping.
Too easy to drink . Best Navy rum . Lite n easy . If your use to Gunpowder proof be prepared for this to disappear quickly . Better get two bottles !
Im usually a scotch whisky drinker but I recently decided to branch out and try some rum. This is the first one I tried and it definitely impressed me. Smooth when drinking neat and little after burn. A good price aswell. Would definitely recommend this to someone who is new to rum.
