A young, light rum from Green Island, a great producer of rum in Mauritius. This is distilled from molasses in a four column still, and the rum in the bottle is aged for between 3 and 5 years in oak. It is charcoal-filtered, a process which removes the colour of the spirit without negatively affecting the flavour.
Grassy and herbal nose, hints of pepper and honey, a little star anise too. Tangy…
Creamy and tropical with notes of coconut, cocoa, golden syrup, lime and black pepper.

Lovely and smooth - none of the harshness and petrol aroma I’d come to expect from white rum. Great bang for your buck, and it’s delicious in cocktails, so if you like pina coladas and have half a brain, get this!
