Zignum Mezcal is made using espadín agave, which are harvested at the peak of their maturity. Zignum's mezcalero keeps their eye on every aspect of the production of the spirit, from field to bottle, ensuring a top notch mezcal. The distillery also has a big focus on sustainability, operating its own wastewater treatment facility, using solar energy for heating, and more.

This is not an unpleasant drink, but it is not the same as the mezcals that i have discovered. There is zeeo smoky taste and is very much a bottle of tequila in taste and texture, and only mezcal in name. Not one that i would buy again. It does go well in fruit based cocktails as the "tequila" taste does not overpower. But not one for somebody wishing to try mezcal for the first time
