Doba-Yej is as artisanal mezcal from Los Siete Misterios. This mezcal is made from espadín agave which is traditionally milled with a horse-drawn tahona, and distilled with a copper pot still rather than clay.
Plenty of citrus, with lime and grapefruit peel. Balanced smoke throughout, with sweet spices, and some chilli pepper heat.

This is a really good Mezcal for drinking on its own or in a cocktail. A beautiful smokiness that doesn't overpower but with quite a peppery aftertaste in the throat - a definite Mezcal hit. Always have a spare on standby.
