This handcrafted Joven mezcal was made from an ensemble of Espadin and Barril Agave using traditional production methods. The agave is slow-cooked in an earthen pit and crushed with a tahona, before it's left to ferment naturally. Bruxo* X was distilled twice through copper pot stills and bottled at 40% ABV.
*This means ‘wizard’ in English, as this is a magical mezcal...
Ripe tropical fruits, chamomile and a honeyed sweetness gives way to lightly smoked pepper and fresh mint.
There are other Mezcals with better finesse, greater complexity and that are more smooth, but they cost a lot more money. This is an excellent value mezcal and is perfect for making a really excellent mezcalita.
This is not a really top end Mezcal but has a really good balance of agave and smoke flavours. Makes a really excellent Mezcalita
