First had this in Marseille when I was definitely too young to be drinking it, I’ve always had a sweet tooth for liquorice and aniseed and this is exactly the right flavour. Best enjoyed ice cold and with fresh filtered water. P.s. In Marseille it is also traditional to mix with crème de cassis for a nice black currant and liquorice flavour, perfect for summertime day drinking.
