    Nardini Bitter Chinato (1L)

A bottle of brilliant red Bitter Chinato from Nardini in Italy. With layer upon layer of complex herbs, citrus and spice, along with a solid backbone of bitter cinchona. A staple for all matter of aperitivi and cocktail creations!

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Pleasing bitterness, with a complex herbal bouquet, warm spices, and touches of waxy citrus.

    bottled bittersweet petrichor

Nardini are SO good at bittersweet aperitivos, and I think this is my favourite. I imagine it could be swapped in anywhere you'd use Campari, but is distinct from it in flavour - softer bitterness up front, a little more root-beer warmth, and a lot more earthiness. Reminds me a little of the distinctly earthy (and delicious) Clementi China, but much more versatile. Excellent with bourbon, either in a boulevardier or as a float in a godfather-style cocktail. With bubbles, I think it makes a more wintery-feeling spritz.
