Tiramisù is something like the king of desserts, so it's no wonder that there's a liqueur crafted to taste like it! It's made in Verona with a base of Marsala wine, with all of the rich, chocolate and coffee notes you'd expect to find in... Well, in tiramisù. Funnily enough, this dessert-inspired tipple works rather well alongside desserts themselves, and is quite dreamy splashed in an espresso.
Rich cocoa and dominant espresso, with a touch of creamy vanilla sponge and toasted nuts.
Oh wow is this a find. I'm coeliac so the actual desert is a nono for me, but as it was my birthday yesterday I wanted a really scrummy liqueur to indulge in with a friend and a movie and we polished off nearly the whole bottle in one sitting!!. Never mind putting it in coffee or anything else, just drink it neat. It is to die for, my friend an expert in Tiramisu's tells me its even better tasting than many deserts of the same name and that he's eaten in many different place in the UK and elsewhere. He was addicted to it from the first sip and went home and ordered his own!. This is going to now be a permanent fixture in my cupboard of drinks. Its heaven on earth, and you just have to try it. I have a moderately sweet tooth, and it is sweet but its glorious. You just HAVE to try it!.
