Sweet syrupy lovely, unlike anything else. I have also tried the 15 year old a lot less sweet but prefer the original on ice , tastes of honey and orange peel .
I have tried the new recipe and it doesn't do much for me. I wanted to buy the original flavour ie approx 30 years ago but I cant find it on the shelves anywhere. The liquid used to be clear and was to die for. I notice I am not the only one that thinks this and it appears that it would be a good idea to market it as well. I know a lot of people who won't buy the new recipe but would if the old recipe came back on the market, sadly I am one.
There is nothing better than sharing a dram after a days skiing. The warmth that the drink exudes as it imparts its unique blend of herbs is always worthy as an apres dinner or just of the piste social drink. Savour the flavours and let it course through your body and you can always reflect knowingly that it was worth it.
I also noticed that Drambuie has tasted different since about the time of the change to the clear bottle. Don't know what the change was, but I suspect some of the honey has become corn syrup.
The drink is not the same as it was. Why change the winning team? If it aint broke..etc Quite simply, you got it wrong.
