
The first release from Four Pillars' Bartender Series is the Spiced Negroni Gin! This was developed with Jason from Sydney's The Rook Bar and Four Pillars distiller Cameron, with the intent on making a gin perfect for use in a Negroni cocktail - an honourable endeavour. To do this, they boosted the amount Tasmanian pepperberry leaf and cinnamon used, and added Grains of Paradise, organic blood orange and ginger to the recipe.
Familiar herbaceous notes mixed with equally familiar dark fruit sweetness. A hint of ginger and rhubarb, too.
Rather festive at first, with cinnamon and orange. Hints of fennel and damson begin to take shape on the mid-palate.
Peppermint and black liquorice on the finish.
