The Abingdon Distillery's experiments with casks continue! After finishing a gin in single malt Scotch whisky casks, the team has now looked to Portugal for inspiration. This expression right here was finished in ruby Port casks, imparting a bounty of brilliant red fruit notes to the distinctively herbaceous spirit. This'll be ace for simply sipping over ice, but it'll also do well served in a G&T with a good wedge of fresh orange.
Juicy citrus up front, complemented by jammy redcurrant and cherry notes, with bold juniper and anise developing soon afterwards.
