Remarkable Regional Malts from Douglas Laing

Come explore six Scotch regions through six distinctive blended malts. Each one bursting with personality and provenance.

Making regional malts remarkable

Douglas Laing’s Remarkable Regional Malts aren't your average blends. They were made to reflect Scotland’s whisky-making regions: Islay, Speyside, the Highlands, Campbeltown, the Lowlands, and the Islands (ok, so not technically its own region, but they deserve a whisky to themselves).

The range offers a whistle-stop tour of Scotland’s whisky soul, one you can walk from the comfort of your own home. Like drinkable ambassadors you can enjoy without ever taking off your slippers. Neat, right?

With bold new releases from Scallywag and Big Peat, there's never been a better time to taste the regions.

New remarkable releases

A bottle of Scallywag Noir
Scallywag Noir

Speyside Whisky • 70cl • 52.8%

Meet Scallywag’s shadowy side. Noir is a limited-edition, cask-strength dram that swaps the terrier’s usual cheeky grin for something a little darker. Matured predominantly in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks from Jerez, this Speyside blend is rich, spicy, and downright decadent. It’s bottled at 52.8% ABV with no chill-filtration or colouring, and dressed in a sleek new label to match its mood.

Tasting Notes

Nose

Expect a symphony of deep velvety sweetness, dark fruits and warming spices on the nose.

Palate

With every sip, its enigmatic nature unravels, pulling you deeper into a world where whispers of dark chocolate, spiced oak and sherry-soaked raisins play on the palate.

Finish

The finish is long, lingering, and utterly indulgent, bringing molasses, ripe figs and black cherries.

Big Peat Fèis Ìle 2025

Big Peat Fèis Ìle 2025

Islay Whisky • 70cl • 50%

Back where it all began – Big Peat returns home for the 2025 Fèis Ìle with a bold, unadulterated dram that dials up the smoke and cuts the fuss. This festival edition skips the cask trickery in favour of refill hogsheads, letting the 2010 vintage Islay malt do the talking. It’s classic Big Peat: rugged, smoky, and straight from the Hebridean coast, all bottled at a punchy 50% ABV without chill-filtration or added colour. Just how he likes it.
