The Wild Beer Co

It’s fair to say that The Wild Beer Co. has had a pretty good time of it since setting up shop in 2012. Brett Ellis (a former chef in California) and Andrew Cooper met at Bristol Beer Factory, and their friendship brought about a shared vision: to make products that challenged the established order of beer drinking. The Wild Beer Co. expanded upon this concept by rallying against limiting traditions that insist quantity is more important than quality, and that the pint is king. And The Wild Beer Co. vision is not one to be underestimated, notching up 100% growth in just four years, with exports now hitting 22 countries.

After being inspired by a realisation that Belgian-style wild yeast brewing was a concept shamefully lacking exploration in the UK, their desire for experimental blends and bottlings led the duo down a path to alternative fermentations, seasonal foraging and unorthodox yeasts. It’s a method that’s working. The Wild Beer Co. produces irresistible everyday session ale, and sour and wild beers as funky as they are complex. Such a unique process and identity has seen abundant enthusiasts gladly embracing the company ethos: ‘Drink Wildly Different’. Sample the taste that rests behind that distinctive stag's head logo, you’ll soon understand why it has become a welcome sight in the UK's resurgent craft brewing scene.
