Tequila Mi Campo

Tequila Mi Campo is a premium tequila brand that combines traditional Mexican methods with a modern twist. Using 100% Blue Weber agave, Mi Campo offers both Blanco and Reposado expressions, each characterised by their smoothness and subtle complexity. The Reposado is aged in wine barrels for added depth, making it a favourite for sipping and cocktails alike. The brand partnered with evocative México City illustrator, Raul Urias, to bring its ethos to life through art. The way Tequila Mi Campo is interesting. Instead of crushing cooked piñas with a tahona stone to release the juice needed for fermentation, as is traditional, it gently squeezes the piñas to carefully extract the juice to avoid any trace of bitterness from the agave fibres. The brand uses seven-year matured 100% Blue Weber agave sourced in Jalisco, México which are steamed-cooked in stone ovens for 38 hours. It also practices natural fermentation using open-air tanks, allowing aromatics from nearby citrus trees to influence the liquid. The Tequila is then double-distilled in stainless steel stills for more than 13 hours and before bottling, Mi Campo leaves its spirit to rest in the same French oak used for ageing wine, made by prestigious coopers who craft their barrels for Napa Valley winemakers.
