You know the classic love story trope? Two people meet, they fall in love, happiness ensues. Manchester Gin’s story is based around that, except there’s an additional step to the proceedings. Two people meet, they fall in love, happiness ensues, they create an award-winning gin. Honestly, that’s the kind of love story we can’t get enough of here at MoM Towers. We’re romantics at heart.
The two folks at the core of this story are Jen Wiggins and Seb Heeley, who first got talking over a G&T, and followed on that theme in 2015 by launching Manchester Gin! Made in their own 60-litre copper column still named Wendy, Manchester Gin features plenty of inspiration from the eponymous city. For example, two notable botanicals in the mix are dandelion and burdock root - staple flavours of a Mancunian childhood. Also, the label features a worker bee, which is the symbol of Manchester.
