A decade ago we were just a few kids in a shed with big dreams, a lot of energy, and absolutely no idea what the fuck we were doing.
Today there are more than 300 of us, and a terrifyingly high proportion of the people we meet have heard about MoM, so I guess we’re doing something right (I still remember the first time we were on a train and overheard someone saying they were going to place an order on “Master of Malt” – it was all we could do to play it cool and not go over and say “that’s us!”).
We’ve sure as shit learned a lot in those last ten years (and have the scars to prove it), but it’s been one hell of a ride.
While we might be bigger, we haven’t lost our hunger to build something great, and we’re looking for people who have the same passion for making things better to come and join us on that journey.
We’re a weird beast – a drinks and technology company – and we’re on a mission to disrupt the drinks industry and deliver a fucking incredible experience for our customers, suppliers, and the people who work here.
We’re re-imagining online drinks retail from the ground up, using cutting-edge technology and fanatical customer service to build a company we want to be customers of and create unexpected delight as we help people explore, buy and enjoy drinks more.
In everything we do, we are disruptive innovators; it is baked into our DNA to challenge orthodoxy and received wisdom wherever we find it.
We’ve achieved a lot in the last 10 years, but we’ve barely gotten started. We’re excited about the future, so if you’d like to come and help us build it, read on!
We’re looking for:
Software developers who like to be in the heart of the action and get a kick out of seeing their work making a difference to millions of people while being part of the real commercial decision-making process rather than locked in a room far away from the action.
We’re looking for people who want to deeply understand their customers (both internal and external) and create an incredible experience for them. [work from anywhere]
Warehouse & Fulfilment managers, shift managers, and supervisors who want to build and manage cutting-edge warehousing and fulfilment infrastructure, and who get a real kick out of leading, developing, and motivating teams, as well as blowing our customers’ minds when the order they placed at 9pm the night before arrives the next morning (3 days early). [Tonbridge based]
Pickers and Packers who like being on a high-energy hard-working team shipping out tens of thousands of orders every single day. [Tonbridge based]
Customer service people who embody the true spirit of hospitality and who love to make people smile and laugh. We’re looking for people who see every time they talk to a customer or fix a problem for them as an opportunity to leave them with a story they’ll want to share (for the right reasons!). [work from anywhere]
Blenders, liquid makers, and assistants who love experimenting with new flavours and creating new drinks as well as scaling them up and producing them in volume [Tonbridge and Edinburgh, on-site every day]
Partner Managers (sales) [covering the London region]
Commercial, Business, and financial analysts who love getting into the detail and deeply understanding how our business ticks so we can make it better. [work from anywhere]
Spirits Buyers who want to help us build the world’s largest and best portfolio of whisky, gin, rum, and, well, everything really! [work from anywhere, but ideally close enough to come into Tonbridge and be with the team physically at least once a quarter]
Project managers and scrum masters [work from anywhere, living within commuting distance of Tonbridge or Brighton at least once per week is an advantage].
We’re a fully distributed company now, so the default is very much “work from anywhere”. Depending on the role, and how close you live to the office, we like people to come in and be physically with the rest of the team from time to time. Unless it’s a role that requires you to be in the office every day then we’d encourage you to be in the office sometime between once a week (at most) and once a quarter (at a minimum) but this will really be driven by you and what you need in order to get shit done.
Interested and wanna join us? Email [email protected] and introduce yourself 🙂
