Benromach 12 Year Old

The latest member of Benromach’s signature range was matured exclusively in first-fill sherry casks and bottled at 46% ABV without chill filtration. Rich fruitcake, raspberry and orange meet cracked black pepper, blackcurrant, menthol and the distillery’s characteristically gentle smoke.

Tasting Notes

Nose:

Spiced cinnamon buns and stewed raisins with ginger, butterscotch and hints of citrus and cocoa.

Palate:

Rich fruitcake with vibrant raspberry and orange, followed by cracked pepper

and gentle smoke.

Finish:

Spicy with lingering blackcurrant, subtle menthol and a touch of smoke.

A cracking introduction to Benromach's distinctly old-school take on Speyside single malt. The 10 Year Old is made with lightly peated malt and matured exclusively in first-fill sherry and bourbon casks, bringing together orchard and forest fruits, creamy malt, toffee, vanilla, and that characteristic wisp of Benromach smoke.

A superbly rounded 15-year-old Speyside single malt from Benromach, matured exclusively in first-fill sherry and bourbon casks. Over two decades in first-fill sherry and bourbon casks have given Benromach's 21 Year Old tremendous depth without burying the distillery character beneath the oak. Rich sherried fruit, baked apple, Seville orange, spice, and charred oak are joined by creamy malt and the soft smoke that runs through Benromach's signature range.
