Secret Stills Highland 1988 Bottling Note

A Secret bottling from Gordon and MacPhail. This was distilled in 1988 and matured in four refill American Hogsheads before bottling. We can't tell you which distillery it was distilled at, but we can give you a clue: the distillery was founded in 1797 in Oldmeldrum in the Highlands. Very secretive indeed.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: A vibrant aroma of menthol, thyme and peat smoke.

Palate: The flavour is clean and minty, refreshing the palate magnificently.

Finish: Smoky with a suggestion of heather and gooseberries.

Overall: An excellent showing from this secret distillery in Oldmeldrum...
