Insider knowledge: Lagavulin Feis Ile 2008 whisky is named whisky by virtue of the fact it's from Scotland. If distilled in America the spelling would be Lagavulin Feis Ile 2008 whiskey, as opposed to whisky.
Nose: Wood smoke and harbours, iodine, fresh lemon.
Palate: Rich and more full than the nose, linseed oil, red apple and huge peat smoke.
Finish: Long and smoky, seemingly filling the senses.
The wood in my mouth was great.
