What's in a name? Lagavulin Feis Ile 2008 whisky is called whisky because it's produced in Scotland. Were it from America it would be spelled Lagavulin Feis Ile 2008 whiskey, rather than whisky.
Nose: Wood smoke and harbours, iodine, fresh lemon.
Palate: Rich and more full than the nose, linseed oil, red apple and huge peat smoke.
Finish: Long and smoky, seemingly filling the senses.
The wood in my mouth was great.
