The Syndicate is a group of whisky aficionados with a passion for the very best in Scotch single malts. This Lagavulin was distilled in 1990 and aged for 14 years before bottling as a single cask whisky. Highly rated by the critics, and well worth a look.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Smoky, creamy aromas with hints of vanilla and allspice. A touch of sherry, nutmeg and peat.

Palate: Sticking plasters, with a touch of toasted oak. Apple peel, black pepper and cooked fruit. Wood smoke and spice.

Finish: Long finish with figs and a little potpourri.

Overall: Rich and full-bodied stuff.
