A secret bottling from Gordon and MacPhail, this Glen Avon single malt was distilled in 1958 at an unnamed Speyside distillery and matured in first fill sherry hogsheads.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

The nose is medium-bodied with notes of tree fruits and stone fruits, a touch of star anise and Sauternes with a herbal character. The palate is of good body with a superb richness. There are notes of botrytized grapes with requisite sugar, there are notes of malmsey and calvados. The finish is long and gracefully with rich fruit notes.
