What's in a name? Edradour 10 Year Old 2002 (cask 457) - Un-Chillfiltered (Signatory) whisky is called whisky because it's produced in Scotland. Were it from America it would be spelled Edradour 10 Year Old 2002 (cask 457) - Un-Chillfiltered (Signatory) whiskey, rather than whisky.
I purchased this in Texas on recomendation of the salesman, and took it home for a try. I had it with a wee splash of soda, maybe 1 tablespoon, and I sat down on the back porch with a pipe of Blue Mountain tobacco, and at my first sip it was love at first sip. It is smooth and creamy with a touch of fruit and none of the heavy tainting of peat that I dislike in many scotches. It is perhaps my favorite and I look forward to sampling the older offerings, although this one goes down like a 15 yr.
