Whisky is matured in a range of oaks, from the American and European to the more unusual Truffle and Burr oak. Oak is of key importance in whisky, for it imparts such flavour, and even proffers the cork. Many of our whiskies have spent a good quantity of time in oak, including our 40 year old whiskies. These are very well aged, and thus extremely rare. These are in limited supply and offer an outstanding amount of oaken maturity and complexity....
