Terrazas De Los Andes Malbec 2017
This comes from malbec grown in vineyards at over 1,000 metres above sea level. And high altitude means fresher grapes. Following fermenation, this spent 12 months in a mixture of new and old French and American oak barrels which gives in spice and subtle vanilla notes. This was followed by around six years in bottle which means that this should be mellow with melting tannins. Beef is the obvious thing to have with this though it's juicy enough to go with richer vegetarian dishes too.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Plums and dark cherries on the palate with fresh violet notes, spices such as cardamom and cinnamon, with vanilla and leather on the finish.
