Discover Tobermory and its peated Ledaig!
Inspired by Mull
Founded in 1798, Tobermory is one of Scotland's oldest commercial whisky distilleries, and the only one on the Hebridean Isle of Mull. It produces two distinct styles of whisky, the rich, fruity, unpeated Tobermory, and the smoky, sweet, peated Ledaig.
The rugged landscape that surrounds the distillery inspires its whisky, and the folks at Tobermory strive to protect the land and the local community. The distillery has partnered with wildlife cameraman, filmmaker and presenter Gordon Buchanan, announcing his new role as Tobermory Distillery’s Island Ambassador. His love for his home, its wild beauty, and also its whisky make him the perfect fit for the role, and his photography has formed the basis of packaging for recent whisky releases.
In addition, Tobermory has an official charity partner, The Mull and Iona Community Trust, which focuses on protecting and enhancing biodiversity, plus the long-term conservation and restoration of the Ardura Forest, one of the UK’s most ambitious rewilding projects.

Tasting Notes
Nose:
Quite light and well-balanced. There is a very soft peat with a gentle smoke. Notes of barley and malt extract, with walnut and pine oil and a hint of iodine, dried fruit and nuts.
Palate:
Medium-bodied and quite rich. There are notes of spice and smoke gathering above the charred oak. The peat is quiet and dry with a touch of black pepper and earth.
Finish:
Medium-length and slightly smoky with spice.

Pear, peach and apple, with a dusting of brown sugar. Greek yoghurt, barley and a hint of cinnamon pastries.

Rounded malt notes once again, now a touch oily. Still packs a hearty helping of stone fruit sweetness.
Finish:
A flash of orange peel, soft sawdust, toffee and dates.
