The mashbill for Woodford Reserve features a high percentage of rye: 72% corn, 18% rye and 10% malt. The whiskey is also unusual for being triple distilled and having the lowest proof upon entering the barrel where it matures for at least six years. A must have Kentucky bourbon. Makes a wonderful Old-Fashioned cocktail!
Quite thick and creamy. There are notes of honey and spice, leather, a touch of cocoa, a little smoke, toasty oak and vanilla cream with a hint of butterscotch.
Thick and full. There are notes of espresso beans, winter spice, cereal sweetness, plenty of rye, ground ginger, almond oil, toasty oak and a little rum.
Long and mature with notes of cereals and toasty oaken spice.

Batch 729. Bottle 319. 43,2% abv. To me it is a safe blind buy, whenever its gone. I do prefer Jack SB and 4R SB, though. But having all three always at the reach of my hand, priceless!
Woodford is my favourite go down easy and packs a bit of a punch
I was late to the party with Woodford unfortunately. I have tried all the bourbons below £35 and its between this, Wild Turkey and Four Roses, with Bulleit creeping up behind. It's fantastic stuff. If your new to Bourbon i would start with this. You won't be disappointed.
I am kinda wanna cut down a bit, lagers are done here. Only 6 bottles in my cabinet. Currently. Abi 66, Livet 15, Livet 12 (the new blue one), devils cut new bottle, JDSB 6.19.19. But, damn. This at casks strenght would be up there with abi. Batch is 693. Bottle 2994. I was so like happy to find this rusty bottle in the local SM. I had 2 bottles from this batch before. Maj ajz ar roling. ;-)
A stunning bourbon over ice. Smooth and creamy with a spicy finish.
