The mashbill for Woodford Reserve features a high percentage of rye: 72% corn, 18% rye and 10% malt. The whiskey is also unusual for being triple distilled and having the lowest proof upon entering the barrel where it matures for at least six years. A must have Kentucky bourbon. Makes a wonderful Old-Fashioned cocktail!
Quite thick and creamy. There are notes of honey and spice, leather, a touch of cocoa, a little smoke, toasty oak and vanilla cream with a hint of butterscotch.
Thick and full. There are notes of espresso beans, winter spice, cereal sweetness, plenty of rye, ground ginger, almond oil, toasty oak and a little rum.
Long and mature with notes of cereals and toasty oaken spice.

I am a dyedin the wool Whiskey drinker and have been for the last 56 years. I had tried very very many of those great drinks be they malts and above or blends. Amongst these are the finest whiskeys you will ever be lucky enough to experience. However Woodford Reserve is a force to be respected. It's smooth, it's mellow, it's refined, it has great length, great charecter and above all it's sublimely easy drinking. Have it straight, on the rocks, with water, but above all simply enjoy it. It's not trying to be anything other than a truely satisfining drink to be enjoyed. It's got my vote 10 out of 10
Superb taste either neat or very refreshing on ice, having the character or a Bourbon milkshake. A wonderful drink on its own, with your favorite food, aperitif, or as a finish for desert. Simply a wonderful indulgence.
I liked it, but I know nothing about bourbon
To me a plain, standard bourbon. Nothing bad with it, but nothing to tell home about. On similar price tag, I prefer Elijah Craig or Knob Creek by far.
Will be buying again. Smooth, flavorful
