The mashbill for Woodford Reserve features a high percentage of rye: 72% corn, 18% rye and 10% malt. The whiskey is also unusual for being triple distilled and having the lowest proof upon entering the barrel where it matures for at least six years. A must have Kentucky bourbon. Makes a wonderful Old-Fashioned cocktail!
Quite thick and creamy. There are notes of honey and spice, leather, a touch of cocoa, a little smoke, toasty oak and vanilla cream with a hint of butterscotch.
Thick and full. There are notes of espresso beans, winter spice, cereal sweetness, plenty of rye, ground ginger, almond oil, toasty oak and a little rum.
Long and mature with notes of cereals and toasty oaken spice.

Really enjoyed this as my first bourbon, the sweetness came through excellent and the spices were limited but right! Will definitely buy again
Simply put, I consider Woodford Reserve the finest and most satisfying whisky I've ever had the privilege to drink. I've drunk whisky (and whiskey) across this globe and I always return to my favorite - Woodford Reserve.
Old faithful, as I have tried many of the new bourbons on the market but keep coming back to Woodford!
My bottle was emptied in 10 days. But I just drank it slowly straight from the bottle threw the days, more times per day when i felt like it, maybe a quarter of the shot. Not getting drunk, I dont even drink that much actually ( a shot a day). Loving that nose from the bottle, wonderfully delicious....They where time threw the day, when I was working, the smell just came to me from somewhere....thinking about coming back home and enjoying it again. I just felt...hmmm. Love. i would put this spirit in category of Hennessy Fine or Jack Daniels Single Barrel. Not in the sence that they are the same or to similar, but emotions that they carried with it. To me.
I am by no means a connoisseur, so I won't be using technical language here. All I will say is that, for me, Woodford Reserve is my favourite bourbon. It's just so... smooth and well-rounded, with just enough heat and it leaves a lively tingle on the tongue that I adore. It's also available at £22 a bottle on Amazon right now, which is a must-buy. Love it.
