It's finally here - the Woodford Reserve Double Oaked Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey. This expression begins life being aged in the same way as the classic Woodford Reserve, but following this, it is further matured in barrels which have been heavily toasted and lightly charred. This imparts an added depth of sweet oaken character to the whiskey, as well as developing the fruit, vanilla and caramel notes.
*UK (excluding Channel Islands) and retail only. Offer from 06 06 2025, while stock lasts.
Black cherries, toffee, dark chocolate, honey and toasted almonds.
Rich and full with notes of baked apples, cinnamon, cloves and caramel.
Creamy and smooth with vanilla and baking spices.
A$7.74 - A$55.39
Don’t agree with all the negative comments. I use this in all my bourbon based cocktails and I will continue to buy. I agree it is on the strong side but gives real depth to a Manhattan sweetened with sherry.
Hey! I am from Costa Rica whiskey/whisky lover and I can tell you that Woodford Reserve DOUBLE OAKED is simple AMAZING… so far my #1 bourbon ? for sure!!!
Treacle, vanilla, wet tobacco on the nose. Dark chocolate and mint, espresso on the palatte. Short to medium oaky finish (not a whole lot of flavour to the finish, nice bit of warmth). For me, a solid 3.5-4/5. At £40-45 I'll happily replace this bottle, anything above that and its getting a bit steep for what it is. Decent sipper. In fact, it's so easy drinking I've had to hide it at the back of the cupboard. My favourite of the Woodford Reserve range that I've tried so far. If you're a fan of coffee and dark chocolate flavours I think you'll really take to this.
I was more than disappointed with this bourbon.Frankly I thought it was overly bitter and disgusting. $50 what a rip off.
Treacley toffee, sweet and smooth. Enjoying on the rocks.
