A lower strength bourbon from Wild Turkey, bottled at 81 proof (40.5% abv) and created by the associate distiller Eddie Russell, the son of master distiller Jimmy Russell. This has a high rye content in the mash bill and is aged in casks with a heavy char - the result of which is huge flavour and complexity without the same heat as the 101 proof.
A spiced, oaky nose with vanilla fudge, rye spices and coffee beans.
Rich and thick, notes of caramel, manuka honey and fudge, hints of rhubarb and custard sweets and oily espresso beans.
Caramel and coffee, hints of Black Forest honey and Hot Cross Buns. Charred and spicy.
A fabulous bourbon with oodles of complexity…

Bought on offer for £17 and would say it's probably worth that price. The 101 is my usual go to bourbon so this seemed a bit lacking in comparison. Not bad but lacking in mouth feel and kick.
A rich complex bourbon that needs to be appreciated for its fullness of flavour for the price of a bottle.
Best bourbon in this price range. Pleasant, balanced and lingering finish. Chapeau bas to Mr. Jimmy Russell.
An amazing range of tastes. I can taste Swiss Chard (no kidding). Better than any single malt or cognac I have tasted.
I recently came of age to drink here in Canada, and I decided to try whiskey since my father always drank it. I like it.
