This bottling of Wild Turkey has been aged for at least six years before coming out of the barrel at 109 proof. The whiskey is only diluted slightly before bottling at 101 proof with plenty of pep.
The nose is quite subdued, yet there remains a beautiful toffeyed sweetness. Notes of toasty oak and melted vanilla ice cream, a touch of zesty citrus and butterscotch. The palate is full and rich with notes of cigar box sweetness, pepper, caramel, or ‘carmel’ should I say? Notes of honey on granary toast with a little melted butter. The finish is long and rich with spice and toast notes.

A powerhouse of a high-rye bourbon that's great value for money. A totally different experience to regular Wild Turkey. I can go either way with the water. A few drops really mellows it out and brings out the corn sweetness but neat you get the full rye bite. Delicious either way. Highly recommended.
Dangerously easy to sip. Lots of taste for the money. Better than 81. Add dash of water, and before you know it, a nostalgy will take over. Must have.
Absolutely fantastic bourbon ! Now listen up; this is a must have for the cabinet . Special enough to be given as a gift, delicious enough to share with a friend , and smooth enough to be enjoyed as a daily dram. Haven't tried it in an Old Fashioned , but I bet it is tasty. I enjoy it neat, but a cube of ice might open it up a bit . Thank you to the Russell family for such a stellar taste of real American bourbon .
Exelente!
the best bourbon in the world!
