If sherried deliciousness is what you're after when you're searching for a whisky, look no further than Sherry Bomb! What we've got here is a marvellous 8 year old Speyside single malt, boasting more than its fair share of sherry notes. Expect an expression bursting at the seams with notes of dried fruit, festive spices, milk chocolate, and more. Ought to make a great winter warmer, we reckon...
Dates, sultanas, and a good helping of honey, with a kick of ginger appearing later on. Some sweet coffee notes appear after a few moments.
Chocolate-chip brioche, zesty Seville orange marmalade, cinnamon sticks, maple syrup, yet more dried fruit by the bucket load.
Once again we're treated to raisin, milk chocolate, cassia, and a smidge of old sherry.
Booming sherried notes from all angles here, folks!
As always, easy to write a poor review and not for all the other 99% of MoM whiskies that are great but this is poor. Save your money (even at half price).
Absolutely disappointing ! It does not even nose palate or finish as a one year matured whisky - probably not seen the inside of a cask !
Bought a second bottle as a gift for my husband and he absolutely loves this!
I wouldn’t call it sherry bomb as it’s misleading. It has some sherry qualities but it’s unbalanced. It’s ok on offer but would hate to pay more for it.
Hardly a Sherry bomb, just unbalanced young whisky that’s been overly filtered and watered down. An all round mess.
