
From the Westland distillery in Seattle, USA, comes an American single malt made with a proportion of very heavily peated whisky and unpeated, all aged in American oak and bottled at 46% ABV. American peated whiskey doesn't happen all that often, so enjoy the rarity of this one.
Orange and lemon peel at first, before a wave of smoky peat rolls in.
Smoky peanut shells and a little medicinal malt, alongside leafy mint.
Fruity esters and a pinch of ground pepper.

Tried this at a local bar recently, they know I like a bourbon normally but have been experimenting with peated whisky, it was really delicate and surprising for a NAS - marked down a little for the price point, as for this money there are probably older and better liquids, however - worth a taste
