This is one for the James Joyce fans out there. To mark the centenary of Joyce's eponymous novel, Walsh Whiskey have taken their Writers Tears Copper Pot blend of single malt and single pot still whiskeys and packaged it into a limited edition bottle that celebrates an iconic location featured in the book. Never ones to judge a book by its cover mind, you can be assured that the whiskey inside is a wonderfully approachable, light example of Irish whiskey.
Soft and sweet with thick honey spread on granary toast. Hints of citrus peels.
Honey develops on the palate. Mellow notes of vanilla and golden malt. Green apple skin, caramel and a hint of oak.
Warming, sweet and long.
Very yummy Irish whiskey indeed.
