Here we have the 2018 release of The Irishman's Cask Strength Irish whiskey, an annual limited release. This expression was aged in American oak bourbon casks hand selected by Bernard Walsh, with an outturn of just 3,716 bottles. Special stuff, bottled at 54% ABV.

Nose
Creamy vanilla notes, toasted malt and subtle ginger spice.
Palate
Well balanced, with gentle malt sweetness alongside dry oak tannins.
Finish
Long, with rich dark chocolate and lingering spices.
