Writers Tears is a light, sweet Irish whiskey made using a mix of single pot still and single malt whiskeys, resulting in oodles of honeyed, fruity notes. Wonderfully easy to drink, it would make for a great introduction to Irish whiskey for folks new to the spirit. (No writers were harmed in the making of this whiskey.)
Soft and sweet with thick honey spread on granary toast. Hints of citrus peels.
Honey develops on the palate. Mellow notes of vanilla and golden malt. Green apple skin, caramel and a hint of oak.
Warming, sweet and long.
Very yummy Irish whiskey indeed.

I received a bottle from a friend who visited your beautiful country. I enjoy Michter's rye when I can find it, but I am a bourbon drinker. I am no longer a bourbon drinker... This is the BEST brown liquor that exists. There is no hyperbole here. Smooth as silk, balanced, sweet lingering finish. A whisper of oak. And the cleanest finish of any I've tasted. Worth every nickel. Well Done!!
As an unfamous, not infamous, author since 2005, I find Authors Tears and aligning blend to my sweet charm, my own authors tears still smoothly sailing along on whiskey bay. Like the name of one of my books, Exploring the Iceberg, tasting Authors Teas is exploring the iceberg with its multi levels of enjoyment. Humpty Dumpty: After the Fall would rather enjoy it on his palate of yolk, or perhaps choice ...
This deserves a perfect 10! As someone who is new to the whiskey/whisky scene, this is super-smooth, light, perfumed, and now a cherished drink. It tastes far, far more expensive. :)
£28 at the minute at M&S and worth every penny! An amazing creamy potstill blend loads of toffee coconut on the nose with some spice in the taste highly recommended
It may not be the most complex of blends but its as drinkable as it gets,my new everyday dram
