Writers Tears is a light, sweet Irish whiskey made using a mix of single pot still and single malt whiskeys, resulting in oodles of honeyed, fruity notes. Wonderfully easy to drink, it would make for a great introduction to Irish whiskey for folks new to the spirit. (No writers were harmed in the making of this whiskey.)
Soft and sweet with thick honey spread on granary toast. Hints of citrus peels.
Honey develops on the palate. Mellow notes of vanilla and golden malt. Green apple skin, caramel and a hint of oak.
Warming, sweet and long.
Very yummy Irish whiskey indeed.

Wow it's good, no great, no maybe just wonderful. In themouth it is a blessing and the lingering touch heaven
Great value for the dollar Irish Whiskey! Very smooth.
Our waitress explained that my typical Manhattan whiskey was not available, but they served Writer's Tears & the patrons love it. I tried it & it made a superb Manhattan.
One of the smoothest whiskies I have ever enjoyed. Simple, uncomplicated, delicate and still very rewarding. An outstanding value and my whisky of choice for an everyday dram.
Received a sample of this and I'm searching frantically for a bottle. To date the best I've had. I know that better is out there but for now I'm happy with this.
