Writers Tears Copper Pot Irish Whiskey

Writers Tears is a light, sweet Irish whiskey made using a mix of single pot still and single malt whiskeys, resulting in oodles of honeyed, fruity notes. Wonderfully easy to drink, it would make for a great introduction to Irish whiskey for folks new to the spirit. (No writers were harmed in the making of this whiskey.)

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

    Nose

Soft and sweet with thick honey spread on granary toast. Hints of citrus peels.

    Palate

Honey develops on the palate. Mellow notes of vanilla and golden malt. Green apple skin, caramel and a hint of oak.

    Finish

    Warming, sweet and long.

    Overall

    Very yummy Irish whiskey indeed.

    Enjoyed this whiskey!

Lovely nose. I get hints of green apple as well honey on the palate. Very nice. Will visit Walsh Distillery next visit to Ireland.

    Tears of joy.

A lovely whiskey. I also purchased the Writers Tears Red Head. Only problem is, is it worth paying another £10 for the Powers Johns Lane ! I'm thinking yes it is.

What I hope Santa brings every year

I bought it the first time for the name. I buy it now for the taste. It should be shared, but it is difficult not to horde. And while I used to ask for world peace at Christmas time, I now tell friends and family "If you can't give me world peace, then give me Writers Tears."
