Writers Tears is a light, sweet Irish whiskey made using a mix of single pot still and single malt whiskeys, resulting in oodles of honeyed, fruity notes. Wonderfully easy to drink, it would make for a great introduction to Irish whiskey for folks new to the spirit. (No writers were harmed in the making of this whiskey.)
Soft and sweet with thick honey spread on granary toast. Hints of citrus peels.
Honey develops on the palate. Mellow notes of vanilla and golden malt. Green apple skin, caramel and a hint of oak.
Warming, sweet and long.
Very yummy Irish whiskey indeed.

Must be honest, wasn’t familiar with Tears until a friend gave me a bottle recently. Wow! Loved it, great taste and SO drinkable! Finished it that afternoon and (probably shouldn’t have but) drove into town to buy another! What a find!
Fairly new to Irish whiskeys, but what I’ve tasted so far this my go to whiskey. I received a bottle for a Christmas gift and was absolutely pleased with the smooth taste. I drink/ sip it with a splash of water.
This fairly inexpensive Pot Still offers a delightful finish and boasts plenty of citrus hints on the nose. It's a great casual workday sipping whiskey, not too strong nor too high in %. (Protip - I prefer this with a dash of water)
As far as Irish whiskies go, this one is the one I like most so far. Price is OK, so there is a bottle of Writer's Tears in the cabinet!
I've always been a fan of Irish whiskey and this is my new favorite. It's the smoothest whiskey I've tasted with a buttery taste and mouthfeel that make it a delight to sip. This is my new go-to drink.
